Deeper in the Dreamtime is a collection of 14 tracks of post-New-Age electronica. Similar in style to Peter Gabriel, Patrick O'Hearn, Brian Eno, Robert Fripp, David Sylvian and Bill Nelson. The music on this disc is very modern and ranges from upbeat polyrhythmic pieces, to future looking electronica, to works of "classical" ambient music and "sound" composition.

Many reviewers, not knowing which stylistic box to put this imaginative recording into, have labeled it New-Age. Yet, this is not typical New-Age music in the slightest. Deeper in the Dreamtime has more of an affinity to other genres such as experimental, electronic pop and classical music.

After its initial release in 1991, Deeper in the Dreamtime gained considerable exposure in broadcast performances. However, many fans of RST's more recent recordings do not know this project. Shaped by RST's training as a classical musician and creative orientation as a computer music pioneer, Deeper in the Dreamtime is a rich listening experience indeed.
