Siren is the most evocative long-form ambient work ever realized based on the female voice. The entire hour-long work is created from the sultry singing of jazz vocalist Mary-Jo Bischoff. Through the use of composed models and their development using computer music techniques, unique textures and sounds were developed. These materials, used for the avant-garde computer music work Siren (from the CD The Vivid Air) were recast, according to probabilistic methods into a subtle, airy, ambient soundscape.

Ethereal and majestic, delicate and evocative, strange and unusual, this is a perfect ambient music, superbly nuanced yet able to blend perfectly into any sonic landscape. A third version for ambient installation has also been created.

Beautifully recorded, mixed and spatialized in enveloping dynamic stereo. Totally enveloping "thinking music."
