TRACKS ACROSS THE UNIVERSE - A Chronology of Ambient and Electronic Music by well known reviewer and music critic, Jim Brenholts, is an unique and highly insightful view into the artists and recordings of the ambient, new age and electronica genres.  The book fills an important niche in the available literature in that it covers some of the most innovative music in the genre that, for whatever reason, has remained largely unknown to a wider audience. Jim's passion for the music, and the creativity of the artists themselves, was the driving force behind his writing the book. It is eclectic, fun to read, and full of detailed and personal critique of hundreds of recordings that are each worthy of examination.

A companion set of compact discs by various artists profiled was created in 2000 and specially to accompany the book. Many of the pieces in the set are unreleased rarities made available by the artists specifically for this project, while others are selected from published recordings by the artists themselves. All of the rights to the music are retained by the artists and we sincerely hope that you will seek out their music and add their solo recordings to your collection.

The book itself will be published in print form very shortly and will be made available here at the website. The CD set is expanding to include new works on a number of supplemental discs. Stay tuned for details in the near future.
