Air Friction, released in early 1995, is a collection of ambient music by composer Robert Scott Thompson, created betweeen 1989 and 1995. The disc contains some of his signature pieces in the ambient genre as well as some new works which combine an ambient asethetic with polyrhythms and pop music sensibilities.The recording comprises 14 tracks and runs nearly 74 minutes. This disc has received immediate response from radio programmers and ambient music critics who have perceived its rare and subtle beauty.
