About Aucourant Records:

Aucourant Records has been adding to the literature of modern music recordings since 1986. Our recordings are heard in over 38 countires, on both independent and commercial radio stations. Several of our recordings have received critical acclaim. We have released recordings of award winning works and one of our recordings has been honored with an international award. This is all very surprising when you consider the esoteric nature of our releases. We concentrate in avant-garde expressions in the following genres - ambient, new-age ART, computer electroacoustic, pop and classical music. Our goal is to create recordings of lasting beauty in genres that are new and innovative by nature. As proven by our international broadcasts, the music we produce is appealing yet "on the edge."

We are embarking upon a very energetic period of re-design and re-visioning and are developing new projects. We have just completed four new recordings for 1998 release and our work in import distribution of foriegn CDs in appropriate genres is growing also. We are in the process of planning releases for 2000 and 2001.

We are home to two sub-labels: the Computer Music Series (CMS) which focuses on innovative computer music based in the New Music asethetic and Ambience (AMB) which is devoted to dark ambient, techno-ambient-dance and gothic music.

Aucourant records welcomes collaborations and solicitations of material for review. Distribution collaborations are especially important as are partnerships in broadcasting and journalism.
