On-going research in computer music focussing on design of computer music applications for composition, sound analysis and digital signal processingg. Research into the development of software music composition environments based upon the Intel 486 microcomputer. On-going work as a professional electronic music synthesist, recording engineer and record producer. Audio restoration specialist for the William Russell Pullen Library Special Collections Department popular music archive.
Special interest in video synthesis and video art, with an emphasis on the melding of electronic sound and image. Considerable expertise in composition for various ensembles and media, advanced theoretical analysis, music theory, music philosophy, and 20th Century music literature. Owner and director of independent recording label Aucourant Records, currently developing a series of compact discs featuring computer music and contemporary instrumental music. Current projects include the artistic direction and production of compilation CDS containing works created at the Center for Music Experiment Computer Audio Research Laboratory as well as computer music by significant American composers.
